Data protection
We inform you here about the use of personal data, how we process it and what options you have as a visitor to this website.
Nowadays, when you visit websites, certain information is automatically created and stored, including on this website.
When you visit our website as you are doing now, our web server (computer on which this website is stored) automatically saves data such as the IP address of your device, the addresses of the subpages visited, details of your browser (e.g. Chrome, Firefox, Edge,…) and the date and time. We only use this data in anonymized form for statistical purposes and do not pass it on, but we cannot rule out the possibility that this data may be viewed in the event of unlawful conduct.
Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the Internet is not completely secure. We use commercially reasonable physical, managerial and technical safeguards to preserve the integrity and security of your personal information. However, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us; you do so at your own risk.
Personal data that you transmit to us electronically on this website or via e-mail, such as your name, e-mail address, address or other personal details when submitting a form - for example when booking a room - will only be used by us for the purpose stated in each case.
We only use your personal data for communication and order processing. We do not pass on your personal data without your consent, but we cannot rule out the possibility of this data being viewed in the event of unlawful behavior.
The following website functions collect, store and process personal data:
You can book rooms via our website using an interface to Hotelpartner YM GmbH (or Hotelpartner Management GmbH Schweiz International Marketing). For this purpose, we collect data from the person making the booking, including name, address and credit card details. The data is transmitted to Hotelpartner (operator of the booking engine) and to WireCard (Wirecard Central Eastern Europe GmbH) for credit card verification.
In principle, you have the rights to information, correction, deletion, restriction, data portability, revocation and objection. If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law or your data protection rights have been violated in any other way, you can lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority. In Austria, this is the data protection authority, whose website can be found at https://www.dsb.gv.at/.
If you contact us, we may save a copy of the correspondence.
We use https to transmit data tap-proof on the Internet. By using TLS (Transport Layer Security), an encryption protocol for secure data transmission on the Internet, we can ensure the protection of confidential data. You can recognize the use of this data transmission security by the small lock symbol at the top left of the browser and the use of the https scheme as part of our Internet address.
We use so-called cookies on our website to recognize multiple use of our offer by the same user/internet connection owner. Cookies are small text files that your Internet browser stores on your computer. They are used to optimize our website and our offers. These are mostly so-called "session cookies", which are deleted again at the end of your visit. In some cases, however, these cookies provide information to recognize you automatically. This recognition is based on the IP address stored in the cookies. The information obtained in this way is used to optimize our services and make it easier for you to access our website. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of our website.
The Hotel Neue Post GmbH uses the web analysis service Google Analytics of the company "Google Inc.", 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, 94043 CA, USA, (hereinafter referred to as "Google"). Google Analytics stores information about your use of this website (including your IP address) in cookies. (Information about cookies can be found above in this privacy policy). The information stored by Google Analytics in the cookies is transmitted to a Google server in the USA, where it is stored and analyzed. We would like to point out that Google Analytics has been extended by the code "gat._anonymizeIp(); on our website. This ensures anonymized collection of IP addresses (so-called IP masking). As a rule, the IP addresses are shortened on Google servers in member states of the European Union or signatory states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area before being stored or transmitted to the USA. The unabridged IP address is only transmitted to Google servers in the USA in exceptional cases, in which case the IP address is also truncated before it is stored.
Google uses the transferred data on our behalf for the purpose of evaluating your use of our website, compiling a report on website activity and providing us with other services relating to the use of our website. (There is therefore a contract for commissioned data processing between us and Google). The use of Google Analytics therefore serves to continuously improve our website and optimize your user experience. Our legitimate interest in data processing also lies in these purposes (Art. 6 (1) f) GDPR).
In addition, by clicking a button on this website, you expressly consent to the processing of the data collected by Google in the manner and for the purposes described above (Art. 6 (1) lit. a) GDPR).
You can also prevent the collection of your data by Google Analytics, its transmission to Google and the evaluation there by deactivating cookies (see above).
You can also prevent Google Analytics from collecting your data by clicking on the following link. An opt-out cookie will be set to prevent the future collection of your data by Google Analytics when you visit this website: Deactivate Google Analytics. Google also provides an opt-out add-on for the most common desktop browsers. This prevents Google Analytics from being executed and personal data about your use of our websites (as well as your IP address) from being transmitted to Google and the data from being analyzed by Google. You can download and install the browser plugin here: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de
Notwithstanding this, the data collected by Google Analytics is automatically deleted by default after 14 months at the latest, even without any action on your part.
For more information on the purpose and scope of data collection and further processing and use by Google, as well as information on your rights and configuration options to protect your personal data, please see the following links
at http://www.google.com/analyt ics/terms/de.html and
at http://www.google.com/intl/de/analytics/privacyoverview.html.
We also use the Google Tag Manager. This service allows website tags to be managed via an interface. The Google Tag Manager only implements tags. This means that no cookies are used by Google Tag Manager and no personal data is collected. The Google Tag Manager triggers other tags, which in turn may collect data, but the Google Tag Manager does not access this data. If certain websites have been deactivated at domain or browser level (see section 6 above regarding the deactivation of cookies), this will remain in place for all tracking tags if they are implemented with Google Tag Manager.
We use the c't project "Shariff" on our website. "Shariff" replaces the usual share buttons of social networks and thus protects surfing behavior.
"Shariff" only integrates these social network share buttons on our website as a graphic that contains a link to the corresponding social network. By clicking on the corresponding graphic, you will be redirected to the services of the respective network. The Shariff button only establishes direct contact between the social network and our visitors when the visitor actively clicks on the share button. Only then will your data be transmitted to the respective social network. If the Shariff button is not clicked, however, no exchange takes place between you and the social networks. You can find more information about the c't project "Shariff" here.
